Resources for Professionals ...

  • Children's Mental Health Ontario's Provincial Association website serves as the voice of its member centres in relations with government, funders and the public. Whether talking with elected officials and community groups about the needs of children's mental health or working with other associations of professionals to develop the best services, we strive to keep the issue of mental health front and centre.
  • The Centre of Excellence for Child and Youth Mental Health at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) is an innovative response to the challenges facing Ontario’s child and youth mental health system.
  • Public Health Agency of Canada - Mental Health promotion: Convenient access to a range of online materials related to the promotion of mental health, the planning, delivery, cost and evaluation of mental health programs and services in Canada, and the mental health issues, problems and disorders encountered by Canadians.
  • Partnerships for Children and Families Project: The Partnerships for Children and Families Project is a five year research project directed at understanding the lives and experiences of families and children who are served by Children's Aid Societies and children's mental health services in Southern Ontario, Canada. Our aim is to foster improvements in existing child welfare and children's mental health policies, delivery systems, administration and programming/interventions.
  • Healthy Minds: The American Psychiatric Association has launched a new consumer-oriented web site. HealthyMinds.org provides information on mental disorders and treatment techniques, along with information about the profession of Psychiatry.
  • Family Service Ontario: Family Service Ontario's vision has always been to strengthen family life in the province of Ontario. FSO believes that strong families make for a stronger and safer society for us all to enjoy. Family is crucial to all of our well being. The strengthening of family life is a priority of Family Service Ontario agencies in helping us all cope in today's world.
