Cognitive Therapy Clinic (CTC)

The Cognitive Therapy Clinic (CTC) provides intervention services to children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 years who are struggling with issues that interfere with their daily functioning.  Depression, anxiety, trauma reactions and other mental health issues are addressed through cognitive therapy.  Family members usually participate in this service to support the progress of their children.  The service provides the opportunity for children and adolescents to resolve negative mental health issues that adversely affect their lives at home, in school, and in the community.  The focus is always to:

  • decrease distress
  • improve self-control
  • increase self-awareness, and,
  • enhance family functioning.

The wait list for this service can be lengthy.
